L.O.T.E.

At Anglesea Primary School, all students have the opportunity to develop their understanding of an additional language through our Auslan informed L.O.T.E. program.

The study of Auslan enriches both first and second language learners by providing opportunities to engage with the Deaf community and gain insight into its rich culture and history. It also supports the development of intercultural understanding, respect for others, appreciation of diversity, and openness to different perspectives and experiences.

Students learn greetings, colours, numbers, fingerspelling and commonly used signs, while also developing communication, comprehension and expressive language skills
